The highlight of our new year....Baby Leo is born!
What a PERFECT way to ring in the New Year!
Leon "Leo" Erik Oehlers is named after our dad who also shares his birthday. How cool is that!

Avi Gets To Dance At A Spurs Game!
Avi's competition dance team got to perform at half-time at one of the Spurs game. It was the first time she's done any sort of hip-hop dancing and she LOVED it!! They got to dance with the big girls from her team which made it even more special. The big girls did a fantastic job and the little ones were adorable! More Photos

The Kids Are So Proud Of Their Dream Catchers
I had gotten Tripp a First North American Dream Catcher Kid Kit (http://tinyurl.com/adk3g6) for Christmas. Aunt Stacy also got Tripp a leather dream catcher kits also for Christmas. Great minds think alike! So, we used the one I got Tripp for his (large size), used the other one for Avi (medium size), and we already had a little key chain size one that Tripp gave to Torin.
It was a very special project for us. To make them special, the kids wanted to each take a feather and bead from theirs to put on Torin's. We also used a triangle stone from Tripp's kit and put one in the middle of each one (represents a spider in the web - the feathers represent the good dreams flowing by and being allowed in while the web catches the bad ones). We also used some of the leather from Avi's on all of theirs. Anyway, they are SO proud of them and say that they really do keep the bad dreams away! :-)

Avi Performs At A School With Nuru Kids
Avi is involved with a kids' improv troupe named NURU Kids. She absolutely loves it!! They play many different improv games and do various performances. They practice each week just before our Tuesday park day.
In this one, I had to bring Torin with me and he kept wanting to join in the fun/performance. She was so gracious and loved that her baby brother wanted to be with her. :-)

Avi's 5th Birthday Party
Avi wanted a slumber party, however, since most of her friends are still pretty young, we decided to do a Mommy & Me sleepover. It was such a fun night for the girls and the moms.
They had so much fun eating cake, having dance party after dance party and then watching movies. Of course, the highlight of the evening was when Maeve and Bella, the two youngest, were at the end of the hall taking ALL the books off the bookshelves unbeknownst to us. It was quite a shocking pile of books that you could actually walk across!! LOL!!!

Impromtu Game of Football
Just one more reason why I love homeschooling. Today's neighborhoods are so much different than when we were growing up. There aren't the sandlot games of yesterday anymore and in school, they only have a very short recess anymore. I just feel SO strongly that playing outside by themselves and with friends is so important.

Country Kids
There's not much better than hanging out at Pawpoo & Granny D's and letting the kids run wild in the country. More Photos
We finally took the 4-wheeler Nana & Papa got him out to Luling. There are a lot of great hills and pastures to ride on. Jacob loved riding with Tripp. Playing by the tank.
