Need to catch up on my Facebook but...so hubby had a mystery fever with a bad headache all last week! Literally, Saturday till Friday! He went to the doc Friday morning and tested positive for Mono with the in-office test but then we got word today that his blood work came back negative!?!?!? They sent it back in to test for hepatitis and cytomegalovirus (rare but there have been a few cases in our area)! So...how many times can a mama cry in a day? Tripp got "it" Friday night and Avi just came in saying she had a headache...sure enough, she has a fever too! The really crappy part of any of the diagnosis is that it takes about 2 weeks to a month for recovery and all you can do is alternate Tylenol with Ibuprofen to keep the fever down and let it run its course.
Even though we're now in quarantine...we're so thankful the kids are not having to deal with the horrible headaches and when the medicine kicks in, you'd hardly know they were sick. Sucks that it's so long but thankful for minimal suffering. Wish us luck!!! :-/
